Ski Information
I’ve skied the mountains annually since 1980 approximately! Info about the “Yurick Ski Group” trips will be updated occasionally. Next season’s PLANS are planned in April and usually finalized by the end of October. The deadline for joining our trips to the Mountains is usually by OCTOBER 15 every year. Check back here for all updates (listed chronologically always). CALL OR TEXT GREG FOR MORE SPECIFIC INFO and to be part of the planning process! Best prices on annual ski passes are usually early APRIL of the PREVIOUS ski season! MAKE SURE YOUR PASSPORT IS UP TO DATE IF WE SKI OUTSIDE THE U.S.!
17 June 2026 updates-
Next years trips for 26/27 will be on the IKON SKI PASS, with the following approximate dates:
Trip 1: JAN 3-10 to Big Sky, MT or Steamboat Springs, CO depending on snow conditions. Last minute plans to be made mid to late November 2026. Space for 8 currently, though won’t make final reservations until snow conditions more apparent.
Trip 2 OPTION 1: JAN 24 to 31, 2027 to wherever the snow is better. Last minute plans to be made mid to late December 2026.
Trip 2 OPTION 2: JAN 31- FEB 7, 2027 to wherever the snow is better. After 2026 record low snow totals, we’re a bit leery. This will be a group trip. We have 10 now. Deposits due soon. Will reach out individually. More can join, just would need to find their own way.
Trip 4: FEB 28 to MAR 7 or March 6 to 13th at TBD. This will be a group trip. We have 12 people interested now. More can join before we make final arrangements early January 2027 most likely.

1 Jan 2026 updates-
Next years trips for 25/26 will be on the IKON SKI PASS, with the following CHANGED approximate dates:
Trip 1: JAN 7-14, 2026 to Copper Mtn, CO CANCELLED DUE TO NO SNOW!
Trip 2: JAN 21 to JAN 30, 2026 to Schweitzer, ID then to Panorama, British Columbia depending on snow Last minute plans to be made soon.
Trip 3: JAN 31- FEB 7, 2026 Ski Big 3 in Canada. This was our big group trip. We have 10 people signed up now. Deposits due now. Will reach out individually. More can join, just would need to find their own way.
Trip 4: FEB 28 to MAR 7, 2026 to Red Mountain in Canada. 8 people interested in going. Hoping for more snow.

All 24/25 season Trips have been completed. It was a great snow year everywhere we went!

24/25 all areas are on the EPIC SKI PASS FOR 2024-25 SEASON including Afton Alps in MN!
Trip 1: FEB 1-8, 2025 to Whistler in Canada… be sure to get your passport updated. We have 10 at this point confirmed. Others would have to make their own arrangements. Calling or texting me to let me know your interest in joining us is welcome.
Trip 2: FEB 19-26, 2025 to Breckenridge (Summit County), Colorado. This could be a larger group, as we have lodging openings. So NOW is the time to get on a trip with us!! Start by calling or texting me to let me know your interest ASAP.

all Trips have been completed. We had a great time, and are thankful Greg had no injuries and Rex kept all his organs!! See you next season
12 DEC 2023 Update-
23/24 all areas are on the EPIC SKI PASS FOR 2023-24 SEASON including Afton Alps in MN!
Trip 1: JAN 22-26, 2024 to Vail CO. Trip is filled but let me know if you’re in the area and can join us.
Trip 2: FEB 20-27, 2024 to Crested Butte, CO.
Trip 3: MAR 2-9, 2024 Lake Tahoe, Heavenly Valley, CA
Trip 4 : MARCH or APRIL, 2024 POSSIBLY to Whistler depending on late season conditions.
25 MAY 2023 Update-
23/24 all areas are on the EPIC SKI PASS FOR 2023-24 SEASON including Afton Alps in MN!
Trip 1: JAN mid, 2024 to Vail CO, or Crested Butte CO, or ??? depending on early season conditions.
Trip 2: FEB early, 2024 POSSIBLY to Park City UT, or Vail CO, or Crested Butte CO, or ??? depending on early season conditions.
Trip 3: FEB late into MAR, 2024 POSSIBLY to Park City UT, or Vail CO, or Crested Butte CO, or ??? depending on conditions.
Trip 4 : MARCH or APRIL, 2024 POSSIBLY to California or Whistler depending on late season conditions.
Greg’s Vail CO trip may encompass 2 weeks, which I realize most people will only do 1 week. Watch for details by end of October!

25 March 2023 Update-
all Trips have been completed and the areas were all on the IKON SKI PASS FOR 2022-23 SEASON
Trip 1: JAN 13-20, 2023 to Salt Lake City to ski Snowbird, Solitude, and Brighton
Trip 2: FEB 1-11, 2023 to Jackson Hole, WY and Big Sky, MT.
Trip 3: FEB 25 to MAR 4, 2023 to Aspen, CO joining Yodelers Ski Club on their packaged trip. It was a great trip, but Greg hurt his knee on the last day so there will be no 4th trip this year.
25 August 2022 Update- all areas are on the IKON SKI PASS FOR 2022-23 SEASON

14 April 2022 Update
We had great skiing in 1st quarter 2022. A group of us are now buying the Upgraded Ikon Pass for the 22/23 season, to include Aspen and Jackson Hole for areas. The lowest price for the pass is available for another week. Here are the trips we are considering:
Trip 1: Jackson Hole, WY and/or Salt Lake City, UT
Trip 2: Aspen, CO this could be set up as a larger group and we may be joining a local ski club for even more fun!!
Trip 3: Kitzbuhl, Austria
Trip 4: Red Mountain, Canada

17 November 2021 Update
Using our EPIC PASS for the 21/22 ski season. We deferred our Ikon Pass to the 22/23 season. Here are revised trips:
Trip 1: Jan 26 2022 to Salt Lake City (Park City, Snowbasin) for 4 days skiing.
Trip2: Vail Colorado area but skiing Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and/or Keystone from Feb 26 to Mar 12, 2022. Our lodging is full but if you are in any of those areas, let’s ski together.
17 August 2021 Update
Change from JULY 9 update… Several of us have purchased an EPIC PASS, not an Ikon Pass for the 21/22 ski season. We deferred our Ikon Pass to the 22/23 season. Our plans have changed. Here are revised trips:
Trip 1: TBD Jan 2022 CONSIDERING to Salt Lake City (Park City, etc) or through Denver (Crested Butte, Breck, Keystone) or California (Northstar, Kirkwood, Heavenly etc), or Whistler if we do a last minute plan. ALL depending on snow conditions. Anywhere from 4 to 7 day trip being planned. We’ll avoid the Holiday blackout period Jan 15-16.
Trip2: Vail Colorado area but skiing Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and/or Keystone from Feb 26 to Mar 12, 2022. Our lodging is full but if you are in any of those areas, let’s ski together.
9 July 2021 update

Deadline for joining the Yurick Ski Group trips to the Rocky Mountains is NOVEMBER 20, 2021. CALL OR TEXT GREG FOR SPECIFIC INFO and to be part of the planning process. A few of us have purchased an Ikon Pass for this season again. Let it snow, let it snow!

Well, I’m healed from cancer surgery and beginning to plan the winter trips again. Sadly, they won’t be in MN. I am planning a few ski weeks this year.
Looking at Big Sky early Jan 2020, then after FEB 17, 2020 to MAR 8, 2020 either to Steamboat Springs and/or Jackson Hole. You should contact me ASAP if you are interested in joining my friends and I ASAP if you want to be part of the plans, or even better, part of the planning! The more the merrier and we can get group rates if enough commit early.

A couple of ski trips to Vail this year are being planned. Also travelling with my daughter on a ski road trip for a few weeks too. Great snow this year!

As mentioned last year, I will NOT be planning the Giants Ridge trip for 2018. 13 years was enough for me. It was fun, but all good things end at some point. I still hope to plan some trips to the Rockies for a large group possibly in 2019. Thanks so much to all who helped make so many good memories over the years! Take care.

27 DEC 2016, update for our January 2017 Yurick Ski Group:
Ski dates for our 13th Annual open trip to Giants Ridge in northern MN are determined. We’ll STAY FRIDAY JAN 13 through 15th, 2017 at The Lodge at Giants Ridge. SKI DAYS will be SAT, SUN, MON. Costs for 3-day adult lift and 3 nights lodging will be about $203 per person.
Emails were sent out with details November 2, so if you didn’t get your personal invite, email greg@gregyurick.com with your inquiry.
Advance payment were due on NOV 25th. Last year, we had 48 people attend our Giants Ridge Ski trip – the photo below is less than half of the group of 85 we had the year before!
